I have not had good luck with regular down comforters not bunching up etc. inside my coverlet, but I know that featherbed mattress toppers keep their shape much longer, so I was just wondering if it would be okay to stuff my duvet cover with a featherbed instead of the down comforter.

He never attacks the bed with the sheets on it, but as soon as i take them off to change the bedding he starts attacking & going crazy on the mattress! And once the new sheets are on he stops. It’s really quite funny, he does sleep on my bed so I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

My queen size mattress has a large dent along my fiancee’s side and he has been having a lot of trouble sleeping lately because it is so uncomfortable. my side is slanted towards the crevace, which is also uncomfortable sometimes but not as bad as his side. What should we do? the house is a furnished rental and we can’t buy a new mattress. but we also can’t continue to sleep (or at least try to sleep) like this. is there something we can put under our mattress pad to fill out the dent? or other ideas?
I really can’t (no money or space to keep it after this year) buy a new mattress. please if that’s all you’re going to tell me don’t bother. I don’t neccessarily want to "fix" it, just something that will make it a bit more comfortable to sleep on.

I have a friend that has around 0 to spend on a bed, but all I can find for her that’s cheap is a futon mattress. Would that be comfortable enough to sleep on in the long run?

I had a toddler bed given to me, but there is nothing on the bottom to support the mattress. It is the size that holds a crib mattress. Does anyone know what comes with it standard? It looks like Little Tykes doesn’t carry this one anymore.

I hate laying on the wires when I use the electric mattress pad. My husband says to just put our regular mattress pad over the top of it, but that seems to me like it would be a fire hazard.

I lent an air mattress to a friend only to find out that he has cockroaches in his apartment (a lot of them). How do I sanitize this before bringing it back in my home? Should I toss it? I don’t want to be paranoid, but I don’t want an infestation. Help!

I bought a name brand mattress about 8 months ago from LS Ayres and I’m finding that it sags a little bit. When I look at the foot of the bed I can see that it is not even across the top and dips in the middle. The bed is on a flat wood platform frame (instead of box springs).

Additionally, the actual mattress is 18 inches thick including a very thick pillowtop.

Should I be concerned with taking this mattress back? I know I have a warranty, but is this normal or am I freaking out about something small?

My cat peed on my bed, and it soaked right through the mattress. I washed my sheets and comforter in OxiClean and then I took the cover off my mattress and washed that in OxiClean but the pee is soaked into the foam and I can still smell it. I don’t want him doing it again so I really want to get rid of it. Any tips?

I finally got a new mattress, so I want to get rid of my old one. It’s too heavy to carry downstairs, and I don’t even think it will fit through the door, so I was going to just burn it right in the room. How do I prevent the whole house from burning down? I set it in the middle of the room away from the walls, and covered the walls with foil. Should this be good enough?

Anybody have ideas on how to clean an eggshell mattress pad? It’s made of foam so I think that the washing machine would destroy it. I would spray it down with a house but the water is secondary water (irrigation water) so I can’t imagine that is very sanitary.
So what is the average life span on an eggshell mattress? It wasn’t cheap so I’d rather not just toss it.

I tried to clean a pee stain out of a mattress and realized that whether it’s water or pee or whatever, when it dries I can still see the outline of where it was wet. How do I properly clean the mattress without leaving lines from where the mattress was wet and then dried? I have no trouble removing the stain and the odor. But, now it’s slightly yellow where it was wet. Would a carpet steam cleaner do the job? After cleaning, it looks worse now than when I started.

I mean the memory foam mattress of 10 inches thick, not just a topper of 2 inches. Costco is selling the twin size at about 0, so it is definitely more expensive than most of the regular twin mattress.

We had a queen memory foam mattress for 5 years and we like it. Just not sure whether it is good for my kids, age 2 and 4.

I already have a box but my mattress is like a bouncy, every time I turn around while I sleep, the thing bounces a lot.
How do I make it for firm? And also, how do I raise it without having to buy another box?

I don’t wanna get a bed frame for my room, i plan on just sticking the box spring and mattress on the floor. My mom is worried because the house has wood floors and she doesn’t what to scratch the floors. I have a futon now, and im planning on selling it because it flips easy. Is there something like a box spring or a box spring that won’t scratch the floors?

I have no other means of getting rid of this old mattress in my bedroom, so I was wondering if I could use a chainsaw to cut through the springs. The chainsaw in question is a Poulan 14" Electric chainsaw. I may be able to borrow a more powerful gas operated one from one of my friends. The mattress is an old full size.

We just recently moved to a house and I notice that my 10 year old mattress smells kind of funky, not fresh and "dry". Hard to explain, but do any of you cool people know how to get it to smell nice and fresh? Any ideas, thank you.
I can’t put it in the washer or take out the cover of the inner part and wash it. It’s not dirty, it’s mint condition I just want it to smell nice!
